Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 / Arrival Chiang Mai

Welcome to Northern Thailand! Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in Chiang Mai town. Depending on your arrival time, explore Chiang Mai’s old city or enjoy one of the many restaurants and bars nearby.  At 5 p.m., pick up the bikes from the rental shop and take a short ride back to the hotel. Bombae will give a briefing about the exciting days ahead, follow with the welcome dinner.

Day 2 / Chiang Mai – Nan (280 km)

Leaving busting Chiang Mai behind. We will take the main road for a while just to quickly get out of busy traffic then we get off the main road to find a rural road crossing the mountain area. Lunch by “Kwan Phayao” The biggest lake in Northern Thailand. Crossing another mountain to tranquil town of Nan, little charming town in the east side of Northern Thailand. Overnight in Nan

Day 3 / Nan - Bo Kluea – Pua (160 km)

Highlight of today is riding. We will be heading out of the town on the winding rural road to Bo Kleua, the ancient salt well here we will learn how the local people make salt in their old traditions. Stop for a photo at the picturesque curve No.3. Then cruising on the sky route of Phu Kha National Park to Pua. Stay overnight in Pua

Day 4 / Pua - Chiang Khong (270 km)

Another great riding day ahead of us. We will leave the town on the main road for a while before taking the famous road 1148 up to Phu Lang Ka. Stop by the Phu Sang waterfall before riding on the mountain range, the natural border between Thailand and Laos to Phu Chi Fha. Stay overnight by the mighty Mae Khong River in Chiang Khong

Day 5 / Chiang Khong – Chiang Rai (180 km)

In the morning, we will ride on the paradise road along the Mae Khong River to the Golden Triangle, Where the 3 countries meet. From there the road takes us up the mountain along the Thai – Myanmar border. The road is steep and narrow with a constant change of tarmac and gravel. The scenery is spectacular. Have a break with a glass of tea in Choui Fong Tea House – a Chinese settlement which was built by a division of the Chinese Nationalist Army that refused to surrender to Chinese communists. Day 6 / Chiang Rai – Pai (330 km)

A pretty long day with thousand curves to conquer, we visit the famous White Temple in the morning to avoid the crown. Then riding on the mountainous beauty road, this area offers nice scenery left and right. We follow the main road then turn right to start the challenging road of Mae Hong Son Loop which we have to deal with the 1,864 curves. After 770 sample curves we will arrive at the boutique hotel in Pai, where we will spend 2 nights here.

Day 7 / Pai (Rest Day)

Enjoy a well-deserved rest day. Relax by the hotel’s pool or spa, or take a leisurely day to explore Pai’s charm. Visit Santichon Village for its picturesque Yunnanese culture, a replica Great Wall, and stunning views from Yun Lai Viewpoint. For nature lovers, head to Pai Canyon for breathtaking vistas or unwind at Tha Pai Hot Spring, soaking in the serene jungle surroundings. Alternatively, experience local wildlife at Thom’s Pai Elephant Camp, where you can observe elephants bathing and roaming in their natural habitat. End the day with a stroll through Pai’s vibrant night market.

Day 8 / Pai – Mae Hong Son (180 km)

Today we continue to Mae Hong Son, short in distance but offered countless curves to challenge your maneuvers skills. On the way visit the Chinese-village “Ban Rak Thai”. In the afternoon we riding through the road less travelled to the hidden village of Long Neck tribe, maybe you will find the answer why they wearing the metal rings around their neck? Overnight in the charming resort in Mae Hong Son.

Day 9 / Mae Hong Son – Chiang Mai (330 km)

Our final riding day of this trip. We have a chance to visit Doi Inthanon – the highest point of Thailand about 2,500 meters above sea level on our way back to Chiang Mai. We return the bike and back to hotel in the heart of Northern capital town. Enjoy the night life atmosphere or shopping the souvenirs from Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. Overnight in Chiang Mai

Day 10 / Departure Chiang Mai

After breakfast, the journey officially concludes. Transfers will be arranged to Chiang Mai International Airport based on your flight schedule, ensuring a smooth and timely departure. Alternatively, extend your stay in Thailand—whether exploring more of Chiang Mai’s charm or unwinding on one of the country’s renowned beaches.
